Gaming and technology based charity Everyone Can is hosting their annual Game Together event on Saturday 17th at 10am until 10am Sunday 18th of August 2019. That means this is a 24 hour gaming party hosted at their Technology and Gaming Centre, Floor 1, 25 School Road, Sale, Manchester M33 7XX.
All money raised will go to the charity, which assists people of all ages living with disabilities by providing them with assistance technology in their homes, and at the centre to allow people living with disabilities to continue to play video games in the capacity of which they are able. They are similar to Oxfordshire based Special Effect, but I believe this is much more important than running a Special Effect campaign as it is lesser known in the Twitch community so would benefit much more from fundraising.
This will be live streamed on their twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/everyonecanuk
And here is a video of the event from last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK0Z03Jk1As&t=25s
This is a fantastic opportunity for fundraising to help your fellow gamer, so they have asked if anyone from the Welsh Gaming Network would like to attend, then to go ahead. If you cannot attend but still wish to contribute, you may set up your own stream on the day and set up your own Just Giving page to help. They will of course share your stream via social media.
I originally met the Everyone Can team during Level Up Wales at Wrexham last year, and have since contributed by getting them gaming chairs from Noble Chairs, amongst other ways which I am very proud of so I would love to see more involvement from you, the reader as they do travel to Wales to help people living with disabilities play their dream games.
For more information and the streamer pack, please contact Everyone Can directly on their website https://www.everyonecan.org.uk, or via social media @everyonecanuk (Twitter/Instagram).
Alternatively call them on 0808 800 0009 Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
