On 10am, Saturday the 26th until 10am, Sunday the 27th of September 2020, Manchester based gaming and technology charity, Everyone Can is asking everyone to band together to raise money for the important work done at the centre and the services it provide through the annual fundraising event Game Together. There will be fun and games held at the centre itself, with a 24 hour stream available live on Twitch which anyone can take part in. They are especially keen for influencers to join in, as well as any support from the gaming industry.
The Welsh Gaming Network have a good history with Everyone Can after we met at Level Up in Wrexham back in 2018. I got to see first hand the work they are achieving as they showed off technology they have built specifically for people living with disabilities to allow them to play video games so I believe this is a very worthy cause for anyone interested in taking part.
As well as the event at the centre, they are also calling on streamers to complete charity streams on the same weekend if they cannot make the physical trip. I know our stream team have raised thousands for charity in the past including the likes of Velindre Cancer Centre and Special Effect so I would love to see some of our community taking part!
Their work is so important as they allow an increase in the level of independence for those living with disabilities, improving their lives and mental well being. If you just want to watch the event, and possibly donate, then the live stream will be held here.
The centre is based at Floor 1, 25 School Road, Sale, Manchester M33 7XX, if you wish to contact them, do so through the website https://www.everyonecan.org.uk/ or via social media @everyonecanuk on Twitter/Instagram. You can also contact Rockape on the WGN Discord for an official streamer pack.
Alternatively give them a call on 0808 800 0009 Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
