Who are they and what am I talking about?
Well Nintendo South Wales are an independent group, obviously covering South Wales, but the great part about them is the regular events they hold across the country. They cover all Nintendo consoles from the retro consoles, handheld and Nintendo Switch so I think you could have a lot of fun showing your kids the consoles you played in the 90s, and using skills you learned then to crush them in Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros (or get crushed by their superior young person reflexes).
This group sounds like a lot of fun, so get on their Facebook page, linked above, and check out all their upcoming events and where they are happening. All of these events are FREE.
The next event to be held is “Kirby: March of the minigames” which celebrates the new release of instant classic, Kirby Star Allies, released 16th March 2018. Kirby Star Alliesis a 4 player 2.5D platforming game for the Nintendo Switch. Also available on the day will be incredibly fun 4 player co-op game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, where you must work together to control a ship and save the galaxy. You’ll also get your hands on the 3DS game Detective Pikachu and on top of all this, there are competitions and prize draws to be won.
This event will be held on the 2nd floor of the Gatekeeper Wetherspoons in Cardiff (9-10 Westgate Street, CF10 1DD) on Saturday 31st March from 12pm. Keep an eye out for more events from these guys!!
