Recruiting – Esports Captains
Hey everyone, as we move forward with esports within Wales, we will be looking to hold our own competitions. I am interested in involving the Welsh Gaming Network with participation in worldwide competitions to promote esports in Wales and have teams to represent our country.
With that in mind, we will need to fill the volunteering role of Esports Captain in certain games.
Welsh Esports Captain role will be needed for:

DOTA 2
-
League of Legends
-
PlayerUnknown’s Battle Grounds (PUBG)
-
Overwatch
-
Rocket League
-
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
The role of Esports Captain will mainly consist of:

Recruiting new members to your esports team

Scheduling regular training days
-
Maintain the team roster
-
Applying for open competitions across the UK/World
-
Communicating with full Welsh Gaming Network staff members
-
Making sure each team member is on Discord for easy communication
Desirable skills:
-
Passionate and competent in the specific game of choice
-
Confident with social situations and approaching people
-
Positive can-do attitude
-
Professional attitude when representing the Welsh Gaming Network

Good time-keeping skills
-
Willing to attend live events (travel costs cannot be provided at this time)

Willing to participate in team meetings
As esports are an ever-changing beast in the world of digital sports, the role will be dynamic and constantly changing to suit the needs of the team.

Once we have official teams up and running, we will provide professional looking team jerseys for events and competitions!
