Tell us a little about yourself, where you’re from and what games you stream?
I am a husband, father of 4 (TV broke twice before we had the internet, and then the youngest 2 was because the internet went down) partnered twitch streamer from Bridgend, South Wales. I mainly stream iracing if i can get on early enough in the evening. Late night i change to whatever i am enjoying that week. Its mostly multiplayer games late night with friends/viewers.
Do you have a schedule you’d like to share?
I try to stream after 5 if i can, but the time I start depends on if i can get the kids sorted (fed, bathed, homework done etc) quick enough. Don’t stream sundays – they are get the kids ready for school days.
What made you start streaming?
I was playing iracing and I saw someone advertise that the race can be watched from a Twitch URL. Me having no idea what that was, I went and looked. Chatted away to the guy for a while and I found out that you can stream on not an amazing PC and you could upload them to YouTube. My PC was no where near good enough to run fraps so I started so I could keep a record of my races. Never in a million years thought anyone would watch.
What do you enjoy most about streaming?
The interaction. I thank viewers a lot for watching, telling them that without them watching i wouldn’t still be streaming today.
What have you learned because of streaming?
Just how amazing people are and how much people can support someone who is going through a difficult time even though they have never really met. In this world where we are bombarded with hate and see every day all the bad things humans do, my twitch channel 99.9% of the time is full of amazing people with amazing stories and lives. It’s a nice place to be.
What would you say your biggest challenges are when it comes to streaming?
The burping angry wife works evenings, so it’s up to me to sort the kids. So only really challenge I have is getting them squared away quick enough to start streaming
What’s your favourite game of all time?
I don’t have one. Been a gamer for all my life so I have tons of them. Goldeneye (N64), Final Fantasy 7 (PS1), Grand Turismo series, then when we move onto the internet era WWII online was my first proper online game and i was hooked for about 8 years. Then World of Warcraft, I was super hardcore, healing leader of a guild that killed Yogg with 0 watchers ether 13th or 18th in the world, and was always around 50th in the world. Now its iracing, 4 years I have been playing it and it’s still as amazing as it was when I started.
What’s your favourite colour?
Don’t have one. Like my eyes, the colour changes.
If you could meet one character from a video game, who would it be and why?
Hard to pick one, but it would have to be someone from WoW. The lore that surrounds wow is pretty epic so being able to listen to the stories from the horses mouth as it were would be pretty amazing.
What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?
VR (rift) is the best. VR is honestly the biggest advancement in gaming full stop. The worst has to be my first PC that i bought in 1999 and it had the millennium bug.
What’s the story behind your gamer tag?
The man who brought me back to PC gaming when i was 21 (56k dial up internet was the new big thing) showed me a game called WWII online. He lent me one of his accounts (he had 5) to play on. The name on that account was airmessy. After a few weeks of playing he give me that account. As it was an online game and we was a close community (played together every day and on voice comms every day) the name stuck because people knew me as airmessy. Its amazing now how even now 17 years later people ask if i am the airmessy from wwiionline.
You can take one game to a desert island, what would it be?
This is probably cheating but it would be iracing. Races start every 30 mins to 2 hours depending on what series you are racing, and its all real people you race against no AI. So 24 hours a day 7 days a week if you want to race something is available all the time
What’s your favourite meal, and can you cook it?
Was a chef for 12 years so yeah i can cook it 😀 Lasagna or enchiladas.
If you could visit one place in the world for a week, where would you go?
Probably America, would love to go on a food tour.
If you had to move to a different country and live there forever, where would you go and why?
Maybe America, only because i would like to have a car with a massive engine and pay next to nothing for the petrol to run it 😀
Did you make a New Year’s Resolution this year and how’s that going?
Never ever made one.
What’s the most fun you’ve had this year?
There are so many, will have to be one of the many times that i have been laughing so hard i had tears, the people i play with are honestly nuts.
What was the hardest thing you’ve done or been through this year?
Depression. Mum died a couple of years ago suddenly and i was in massive denial. I bottled it and struggled to keep myself afloat until i finally broke down in nov last year. It’s taken until a couple of months ago to get the medication right. Now i feel awesome!
If you could be the creative director for a new video game, what type of game would it be and what would it be about?
Would have to be a ww2 combat flight sim.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Flying.

What’s your alcoholic drink of choice?
Cider on a hot day, lager in the winter.
