Talk and Surf Gaming Centre (Twitter) in Riverside, Cardiff is currently recruiting!

Talk & Surf are looking for dedicated people to represent the store and gaming community as staff.  In particular those with experience in the participation of LAN parties/tournaments, with brownie points for anyone who organises their own (such as Skynet Wales), those with good customer service skills and those who can learn as you go.

In terms of the role itself, you will be expected to host/run 1 weekly and 1 monthly event at a minimum, promoting your events and having a good knowledge yourself of the games available for these events with, but not limited to, popular titles such as Fortnite, Overwatch, PUBG, Hearthstone, CS:GO or League of Legends and be able to contact game reps for prizes. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for using social media and responding to tweets and Facebook messages about your events, and approaching other communities and gaming groups to join in on events. The Welsh Gaming Network Discord would be a great place to ask hint hint.

The pay isn’t particularly appealing as it is minimum wage, but this is a fantastic opportunity for younger people in Cardiff and the surrounding areas to get involved in the gaming scene, gain ground level experience and make some money playing video games all day. How could that possibly be a bad thing?!
